YALETOWN

Yaletown is where people go to see and to be seen.

Historically, the area was home to heavy industry with factories, warehouses, and rail yards taking advantage of its proximity to False Creek. The land was purchased by the City in time for the Expo 86 and a community plan was subsequently created for its redevelopment. Although the neighbourhood is densely populated with high-rise towers, many of the old warehouses have been retained as shops, restaurants, and offices. The Canadian Pacific roundhouse still stands and has been converted into the Roundhouse Community Centre.

Bordered by Burrard Street, Georgia Street, and False Creek, Yaletown is easily accessed by the Aquabus and by the Canada Line. With lots of small-scale shops, the sea wall, and pocket parks, it's a great place to spend some time exploring with the family, or to look out for every shade of Lamborghini.
